Research Pepper Reconstitution

**This is for educational purposes only and is based on research and personal recommendations. This is not medical advice.**

What Does "Reconstitute" Mean?

Peppers usually come in powder (lyophilized) form inside a small glass vial. To use them, you need to mix the powder with bacteriostatic water (BAC Water) -- This is called reconstitution. It makes the pepper injectable or usable for topical microneedling purposes.

What You Will Need:

- 1 Pepper Vial (lyophilized powder)

- Bacteriostatic Water (not sterile water)

- 1 mL or 3mL Syringe (for mixing)

- 29-31G Insulin Syringe (for injections)

- Alcohol Swabs

Step - By - Step Reconstitution Process:

1. Clean everything.

2. Wipe the tops of both vials (Pepper + BAC Water) with an alcohol swab.

3. Draw your BAC Water.

4. Using a clean syringe, pull up the amount of BAC Water needed (usually 1-2mL).

5. Insert the needle into the pepper vial at an angle and let the water run down the glass wall -- don't blast the powder directly. This helps preserve the pepper integrity.

6. Inject BAC Water slowly.

7. Let it dissolve naturally.

8. Gently swirl (DO NOT SHAKE) the vial until the powder fully dissolves. Let is sit at room temperature for a few minutes if necessary.

9. Label with date you reconstituted the vial and refrigerate.

Pro Tips:

- Use a new syringe every time -- don't reuse.

- Store peppers in the fridge, never the freezer (unless labeled stable for freezing).

- Avoid shaking -- always swirl gently.

- If pepper is cloudy or discolored, don't use it.
